Roger Auldridge
November 23, 1956 ~ July 24, 2025
Roger Lewis Auldridge, affectionately known to many as “Uncle Roger,” passed away peacefully at the age of 68 on July 24, 2025. He was born to James and Lenora (Medows) Auldridge on November 23, 1956, in Denison, Texas; Roger was one of 14 children—including three sets of twins. Known as the “glue” that held his large family together, Roger’s unwavering love and support were a constant in the lives of the people he loved.
A proud U.S. Army veteran, Roger served honorably from 1974 to 1978, stationed in Germany. His years in uniform instilled a lifelong commitment to duty, service, and integrity. After his military service, Roger continued giving back to his community as a Code Enforcement Officer for the City of Denison and as a dedicated volunteer firefighter. A hardworking man of many talents, his jobs ranged from pouring concrete to building air boats, always ready to take on whatever task needed to be done.
Roger’s passions included horseback riding, helping friends and neighbors, and most of all, spending time with family. His sense of humor, generous spirit, and comforting presence made a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. He brought joy into every room and lived his life with humility, honor, and heart.
Roger’s legacy lives on through his wife, Rhonda Auldridge; his sons, Jeremy Auldridge, and James Auldridge and wife Celsey; and his siblings: Jewel Henshaw, Barbara Daigle, Charlie Auldridge and wife Pennie, and Helen Clark.
He is reunited in heaven with his parents, James and Lenora (Meadows) Auldridge, and his siblings: Joyce Henshaw, Doyle Sheilds, Dorothy Hayes, Margie Landers, Ronny Auldridge, Donny Auldridge, Carl Auldridge, and Earl Auldridge, James "Willie" Auldridge.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on August 9, 2025 at Hebron Baptist Church, where family and friends will gather to honor Roger’s remarkable life and the love he gave so freely. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) in his memory.
“Uncle Roger” will be forever remembered for his deep love of family, unwavering service to his country and community, and the warmth and kindness he shared with everyone he met. His legacy lives on in the hearts of those he touched.
