Born in: Sherman, Texas
Resided in: Pilot Point, Texas

Hazel Marie Lowry of Pilot Point, Texas, was born on July 11, 1949, and passed away suddenly on June 18, 2026, at the age of 76.
Marie was a deeply devoted mother, grandmother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Above all else, she loved her family. Her world revolved around her children and grandchildren, and she was happiest cheering them on from the sidelines while they were running around a track, pitching in a baseball game, scoring a goal in soccer, dribbling a basketball, or serving an ace in tennis. ReRe never wanted to miss a moment.
Marie’s life was grounded in her unwavering faith in Jesus Christ. Through life’s joys and challenges, her faith was a constant source of strength, hope, and comfort. She lived with a servant’s heart, extending kindness, grace, and encouragement to those around her. Her trust in God’s plan guided her life and provided an example of steadfast faith for her family and friends.
She spent countless happy days playing games with her family, watching cop shows and westerns, spoiling her dogs and grandchildren, and simply being a loving and supportive presence in their lives. On any given weekend, she could be heard passionately cheering/yelling at her beloved Cowboys, Rangers, and Mavericks.
Marie was a talented athlete in her own right. In high school, she earned the title of “Most Athletic Girl” and held the Bells High School record for the most points scored in a basketball game for decades. It was an accomplishment of which she remained incredibly proud throughout her life.
As an adult, Marie often regretted that she had not been able to finish college due to the demands of work and raising a family. Determined to achieve that goal, she returned to school and earned her college degree at the age of 51. This was a testament to her perseverance, strength, and belief that it is never too late to pursue a dream.
Marie is survived by her loving daughters, Christine (Lowry) Hernandez and Lisa (Lowry) Hite; her devoted sons-in-law, Robert Hernandez and Scott Hite; and her beloved grandchildren, Ethan Hite, Addison Hite, Adrian Hernandez, Emerson Hite, and Mila Hernandez, who brought immeasurable joy to her life. She is also survived by her brothers, James Radican and Michael Radican, as well as many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends.
Marie was preceded in death by the love of her life, Joe Lowry. They met in high school and were married at Antioch Baptist Church in Bells Texas on June 7, 1969. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Rayburn and Connie (Crofford) Radican; her sister, Kathy (Radican) Felmet; and her brother, Dale Radican.
Marie’s fun-loving spirit, incredible kindness, unwavering support, and boundless love for her family will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who knew her. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched, the family she adored, and the countless memories she leaves behind.
While our hearts are broken by her loss, we find comfort in knowing that Marie has been reunited with Joe and is now in the presence of her Savior, Jesus Christ, whose love and promises she faithfully trusted throughout her life.

  1. So very sorry to hear about Marie’s passing. She will be greatly missed. ❤️
Christine, Lisa and families, your are in my thoughts and prayers.

  2. Chris, Lisa and family I am so very sorry for your loss. I am Lynn Felmet’s Aunt Patti Felmet better known as Paboo. I had the privileged of knowing Marie for many years. She was fun, kind, hard working and one of the sweetest people I have ever met. I played 42 with her and MeMaw, went to Dirk’s Charity game and a Mavs game with her and Chris. You always had fun with Marie. I was amazed how she helped with Kathy’s care during her horrible illness. She was very giving person. Chris and Lisa she was so very proud of you two and her grandchildren. My heart goes out to ya’ll for your loss. She was so special to Lynn and he loved her dearly. I will continue to pray for all of you but I am so glad you had the honor of calling her Mom. She was the best. ❤️🙏🏻

  3. I met your mom almost 30 years ago at First Baptist Lewisville. She was always a ray of sunshine – so warm and loving. Her faith was evident – and there was no doubt how much she loved her family. I’m so sorry for you loss.

  4. James and Michael—I was so sad to hear of Marie’s passing. She was a very beautiful soul and cared so deeply for all those she loved. She was the little mamma to you two growing up and she was always happy and smiling. She always checked on my mom and I checked on ya’ll mom. Growing up next door there are so many precious memories. Lisa and Christine—she cherished you girls and was so proud of you and all her sweet grandchildren. She definitely was in her element when she was spending time with all of you. She will be missed and remembered for the generous, loving and kind soul she always was. I loved her dearly and I’ll be praying for all of you as you move forward in life without her among you—but she will be most definitely cheering you all on from heaven!!🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️
