August 31, 1939 –  May 4, 2009 Mr. Cobb was born on August 31, 1939 in Dodd City, son of John and Beulah Kizer Cobb and attended Dodd City schools. On January 24, 1960, he married Betty Riley in Bonham, Texas.James was a self-employed mechanic and a member of the First Pentecostal Church of God in Bonham.
Mr. Cobb is survived by his wife, Betty Cobb of Ector; son, J.C. Cobb of Ector; daughters, Debbie Atkins and her husband Keith of Bonham and Angie Anderson and her husband Randy of Valley Mills, Texas; brothers, J.W Cobb of Austin, Texas and A.V. Cobb of Hurst, Texas; and grandchildren, Kevin and Kaleb Atkins and Kourtney Anderson.
