September 2, 1930 –  March 21, 2013 Mary Gertrude Block, 82 year old from Savoy, died Thursday, March 21, 2013 at Plano Medical Center after a fall. Funeral services for Mary are set for 10 A.M. Monday, March 25 at Mullican-Little Chapel in Savoy with Reverend Morris Cook officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Ravenna.
Mary was born September 2, 1930 in Plainview, Texas to parents Fred and Ruby (Painter) Deweese. She married James R. Block in Plainview on September 18, 1955. Mary is survived by her husband, James; sons, Dale and Randy Block, both of Savoy; daughter, Rita Williams and husband Randy of Denison; seven grandchildren: Lane, Koby and Richard Block, Stephanie Crespin, Shawn Williams, Janet Burleson and Tracy Wadlow; and four great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter, Becky Wadlow; son, Glen Block; brother, Leroy Deweese and a grandson, Bradley Stockton.

Mary was a member of the Ector Baptist Church, was a retired Home Health Aide and a Kitchen Aide at Mullican Care Center in Savoy for over 20 years.

The family will visit with friends at Mullican-Little Funeral Home in Bells/Savoy from 2-3 P.M., Sunday, March 24.
