Velma Louise (Cass) Hall

Velma Louise (Cass) Hall, age 80, of Bells, Texas passed away June 5, 2019. She was born September 23, 1938 in California to Lawrence Cass and Frances (Thomas) Cass.
She was a home maker and raised seven children. Velma was a loving mother but was strict, she had expectations and was known to have a switch when necessary. She was a wonderful cook, known for her turkey, and especially dressing. Her family always had a large vegetable garden and she loved to can. Velma was a practical woman with simple tastes. She was a dog lover and through the years had a bunch of her own. She especially enjoyed Smokey, Angel and Spot.
She is survived by her son Ray Hall and his wife Janet of Denison, Texas; son, Leo Hall of Sherman, Texas; son, Charles Hall of Fort Worth, Texas; daughter, Leona Jean Hall of Denton, Texas; and daughter, Nancy and husband Jimmy of Sherman, Texas; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren and two on the way; brother, Bud Cass of California; sister-in-law and best friend, Brenda Joyce Hall; and a host of extended family.
Velma was preceded in death by her husband Ray Hall; her parents, Lawrence and Frances Cass; son, Gary Hall; daughter, Charlene Hudson; grandson, Stephen Hall Sr.; sisters, Barbara and Gladys; and a brother, Red.




Velma was a giving person. On 2 occasions in my life when I had loses she sent a financial blessing to me.If there was animal that she felt needed her she opened her heart and home to them. She loved the Lord and attended church when she was able.I didn’t see her often but she will be missed. RIP Velma your finally resting without pain.
