Mildred Corene Thomas Stanley
September 26, 1934 ~ June 23, 2020
Mildred Corene Thomas Stanley, long time Bells resident died at home on June 23, 2020 in the presence of her family. Born to Nellie Marie King and Troy Franklin Stanley on September 26, 1934 in Bells, Texas. She married Edward Dean Thomas they were wed in Bells, Texas.
Mildred was a wonderfully loving mom and grandma. She doted on her grandchildren, counting each one special. She was a hardworking mom who provided a secure home life for her family. She loved people, putting their needs ahead of her own needs.
Mildred was noted for her ability to fix anything, especially before calling for outside help. She had a “mechanical sense” diagnosing the problem and then visualizing a solution. Her problem solving may not have been quite orthodox but…it worked.
She was strong spoken and freely expressed her opinions. Mildred was a happy lady and her sense of humor was engaging and contagious; diffusing a tense situation or bringing even more joy to the time at hand.
She is survived by her daughters, Kathryn Atkinson of Bells, Texas; Tammy Pendleton of Oklahoma; granddaughter, Cori McCullough and husband Joshua of Bells, Texas; grandson, Billy Kenneth Pendleton and wife Jessica of Oklahoma; great-grandchildren, Willow, Rowann, Edeyn, Caitlyn, Mersades, Kinslee, Joshua, Bailey, Parker; sister in law, Delores Stanley of Bells, Texas.
She was preceded in death her parents, Troy and Nellie; son, Billy Thomas; brothers, Gene Stanley, and Ed Stanley.
There will be no funeral service, her body was donated to medical science.

She always made you feel like you were part of the family and you were always welcome. That smile will surely be missed down here but welcome up in heaven.
So sorry for your loss, you are in my orayers
Even though I did not meet Mildred personally I had the pleasure of meeting her through her daughter on the Internet. She was a lovely lady and she treated me as her own.
My prayers go out to the family and I send my condolences.
