July 31, 1935 –  October 3, 2014 DENISON – Elmer Ray Liner, age 79, passed away peacefully into the arms of his loving Savior early Friday morning, October 3, 2014.
Ray was born July 31, 1935 in Leonard, Texas, the son of Ernest Elmer Liner and Oma Blackwell Liner. He received his associates degree from Paris Junior College in Paris, Texas, and later obtained trade certifications from Grayson County College.

His working career began with the Vought Aircraft Corporation in Fort Worth, followed by Johns Manville in Denison where he worked for 33 years. After retirement from JM, he was facility maintenance manager for convalescent centers in Denison and Van Alstyne.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Sharon Turner Liner, daughters Deborah Massenburg and husband Kyle of Las Vegas, NV, Kathy Duffee and husband Don of Longview, son Michael of Dallas, grandchildren Kyla Gebhart, Keith Massenburg, Kayla Clark, Brian Duffee, eight great-grand children, a brother, Jackie Vaughn and wife, Mary, and a step brother, Clyde Vaughn. He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters.

Ray was a Baptist by faith, as well as a devoted fan to his Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers, and rarely missed watching a game. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, October 12, 2014 at Little Jordan Cemetery (between Savoy and Ector).
