September 5, 1927 –  April 13, 2017 Gloria Virginia Cody passed away at 89 years of age, on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at the Clyde Cosper Verterans Home in Bonham. Gloria was born September 5, 1927 to parents, John Austin Lovelady and Lola Esteen (Banks) Lovelady in Hess, OK. After graduating from Hess High School, she married Robert “Bob” Glen Cody on July 9, 1946; they were married for 65 years.
Gloria loved the Lord and her church family. She was a homemaker and pastor’s wife and Sunday School teacher. She enjoyed singing, traveling with friends, spending summers in New Mexico, camping, cooking, visiting with her family and church family at the First Baptist Church of Savoy.

Surviving Gloria are three daughters, Linda Bragg of Savoy, Susie Melugin and husband Tom of Savoy, and Patricia Green and husband Steve of Campbell, Texas; son, Terry Cody and wife Mary Ann of Bonham; brother, Bobbie Joe Lovelady and wife Jo of Fort Worth; 10 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents;husband, Bob; sister, Sylvia Sue Morgan; son, Robert Scott Cody; grandson, Justin Will Cody and grandson-in-law, Jackie Manning.

Mullican-Little Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements with funeral services set for 11 AM, Saturday, April 15, 2017 at the First Baptist Church of Savoy with Reverend Bill Sessom and Reverend Chris Merritt officiating with burial at Little Jordan Cemetery in Savoy. The family will visit with friends at the church prior to the service from 10-11 AM.
