August 17, 1920 –  November 2, 2012 Funeral Services for Gwylon “Gwen” Elizabeth Thomas, 92 of Savoy, will be at 10:00 A.M., Monday, November 5, 2012 at the Savoy United Pentecostal Church. Reverend Virgil Cornwell and Reverend Houston Garner will officiate the service with interment at Virginia Point Cemetery.
Mrs. Thomas was born August 17, 1920 and passed away at her home in Savoy on Friday, November 2, 2012. Gwen was born to parents John Burris Killough and Ona Pearl (Hix) Killough, in Bells, Texas. She attended Bells Schools and married J.B. Thomas August 29, 1936 in Ambrose. She was an L.V.N. for Eastway General in Houston and ended her career at Mullican Care Center in Savoy. She was a member of the Savoy United Pentecostal Church.

Gwen is survived by her son E.D. Thomas and wife Margarette of Savoy; daughters, Connie L. King and husband Willie R. of Pasadena, Texas; Barbara K. Glass and husband Charles F. of Savoy; nine Grandchildren and 18 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and loving husband of 50 years, J.B. Thomas.

The family will greet friends from 3-5 P.M. on Sunday afternoon at the Funeral Home.
