We are so crushed by the loss of this strong and devoted father and friend. Jacob was a kind and loving man whose integrity was evident in the lives of his respectful, humble and joyful children. Jake has been a friend since he was born. He and my son, Joe Wes, both stayed with Pat Smith as infants and toddlers. They were in the same grade in school and were at birthday parties together as children. And they worked together now. This is such a tremendous loss to so many. My prayers are with Janet, Tommy, Karen and Heather plus Jake’s beautiful children and all the Waldrip cousins Aunts and Uncles who loved Jake. My heart breaks for all of you.

When we heard of Jake’s passing our hearts were crushed. He was such a wonderful friend and all around great person … his loss will be felt by many. Prayers and Condolences, Jake was a wonderful person who always had a smile on his face and was absolutely an all around amazing human being.
Words can’t describe the loss, but heavens gain. Although I moved away years ago, Jake has always been someone who stood out in school. Warm friendly smile and very easy to talk to.
The one thing that stands out to me is he always knew who he was. You never had to guess where he was coming from. Sometimes it takes til people are 40 to figure that part out, but he stood tall and proud of who he was.
I was lucky enough to talk with him last year at the Bells vs Callisburg game. I am glad to have gone out of my way to have a few childhood memory chats and laughs with him that evening.

RIP Jake
I’m so lost for words. There are no right words but the words of the Lord. I ask Christ that he takes his loving hand and place it on the lives that truly need it. Heather, Kate, and Grady. This is a beautiful family whom both Heather and Jake adored there children. Givin them the best life they could offer. I think heaven just gained one of the most admirable angels ever. Jake you will be missed here on earth till we meet again!

Our deepest condolences and prayers go out to Jake’s family and friends. We worked with Jake for a relatively short time but felt like we’ve known him our whole life. Such a humble, easy going, and all around good man. It floored us all when we heard the news of his passing. Heather & Family, so very sorry to hear of Jakes passing. He and my husband worked at GCEC. Mark thought the world of Jake. I met Jake one NYE at Tanglewood in the elevator, funny story. He and Mark had the best time that night, with a little Fireball. Lifting you and the family up in prayer for peace and comfort. We were out of state and unable to attend the funeral but our thoughts were with you.
