April 29, 1916 –  July 16, 2009 Nina lived through the Great Depression and moved to Texas when she was 14 years old. She helped raise her siblings after the death of her mother. She worked at Hardwick-Etter during the Korean War making mortar shells, after that she worked at Barq’s Bottling Company from which she retired in 1963. She then started baby sitting her grandchildren and others. She loved cooking and gardening and up until her illness she still cooked Sunday and Holiday dinners for family and friends. Even in her 90’s she still had a garden producing vegetables and flowers. Nina lived in Sherman for 71 years and was a member of Parkview Church of Christ.
