Beckie Lynn Walker

It is with great sadness and sorrow that we announce, Beckie Lynn (Andrews) (Michael) Walker, passed away August 20, 2026 at her daughter’s home in Denison, at the age of 71. She was born on Nellis AFB in Las Vegas, Nevada to Jerry (Jemison) and Derwin “Andy” Andrews on July 18, 1955. She graduated from Sherman H.S. in 1974, where she lived most of her life, but later retired to Savoy, Texas for the last 25 years.

Beckie leaves behind a legacy defined by her deep love for her children, grandchildren, animals, her artistic talent, a passion for wildlife, and her love of turquoise jewelry. In her younger days, Beckie was deeply passionate about horses and was even a talented Barrel Racer. Her connection with animals was also conveyed through her artwork where she had a particular fondness for capturing birds and horses with a special talent for creating life-like eyes.

Beckie was also an avid hobby fisherman in her younger years. Her favorite fishing was for Striper on Lake Texoma and she was so famously skilled that her husband, Freddie, only managed to out-fish her once. As soon as he landed the “bigger” fish, he loaded up the boat and headed to the house.

Nothing in this life brought her more joy and happiness than her children, Wes and Stefanie; and her grandchildren, Katie and Emma.  She was also affectionately known to many others as Grannie Beckie.

She was always the life of the party, making everyone around her smile and have fun, always laughing (especially at inappropriate times) without a care in the world. She never met a stranger. She could strike up a conversation with anyone, anywhere. She also knew all the movie and music trivia you could ever ask.  She could win every round of Wheel of Fortune and answer most of the Jeopardy questions.  She also had a love for Jesus, humanity, ancient Egypt, fossils, and rocks.  If you had the chance to know her, you were the lucky one.

Beckie is survived by her husband, Freddie Walker of Savoy; son, Wesley Michael of Cartwright, Oklahoma, daughter, Stefanie Michael of Denison; brother-in-law, Jeff Wigdahl of Wisconsin; siblings, Denise (Andrews) Wright of Oklahoma, Daryl Wayne Andrews of Oklahoma, and Missy Andrews of Pennsylvania; her beloved, most precious grandbabies, Katie Michael (Stefanie) and Emma Michael (Wesley) both of Denison; cousins, Lin Jemison and Carol (Jemison) Wadsworth both of DFW, along with extended family and many dear friends.

She was preceded in death by parents, Jerry (Jemison) & Miller Cranfill of Sherman; dad, Derwin “Andy” Andrews of Louisiana; sister, Cindy Wigdahl of Sheboygan, Wisconsin; brother, Ray Andrews of Washington, Pennsylvania; and her dear grandmother, “Nanny” Melinda (Bowen) Jemison of Wichita Falls, Texas.

Her magical, loving spirit lives on, wild and free, with Jesus, and all around us.

The family asks that only yellow roses (her favorite) be sent.

On September 4, 2026, visitation will be at 3:00pm at Mullican Little Funeral Home 754 State Hwy 56 E. Bells, Texas 75414. Funeral services will be held at 4:00pm, interment will follow at Sunnyside Cemetery, Savoy and all are welcome.
