Bennie Louise McMahon, 67, passed away peacefully on June 25, 2026.
Born on September 21, 1958, to Benjamin and Nellie Williams, Bennie grew up surrounded by a close-knit family and strong values that guided her throughout her life. She graduated from Bells High School in 1977 and went on to build a life centered on faith, family, and service to others.
On December 29, 1978, Bennie married the love of her life, James McMahon, in Sherman, Texas. Together they created a loving home and were blessed with two children, Angela McMahon and Robert McMahon. Bennie was a devoted wife and mother who found her greatest joy in caring for her family and supporting those she loved.
Bennie dedicated 23 years of service to Walmart before retiring. She was known for her kindness, warm smile, strong work ethic, and willingness to help anyone in need. Her caring spirit touched the lives of many coworkers, friends, neighbors, and family members.
In her free time, Bennie enjoyed playing games with family and friends, reading—especially her Bible—watching murder mysteries and NCIS, cooking meals for those she loved, and creating beautiful diamond bead art. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures and treasured every opportunity to spend time with her loved ones. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she found comfort and strength through her relationship with God and her church family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Nellie Williams; her beloved husband, James McMahon; and her son, Robert McMahon.
Bennie is survived by her daughter, Angela McMahon; her brothers, Kenneth Williams and Jerry Williams (Sue); her sister, Leisa Harvey; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Bennie was loved by everyone who knew her and will be deeply missed by many, especially her church family, who shared in her faith and friendship throughout the years. Her legacy of love, compassion, and devotion to family will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
A celebration of Bennie’s life will be held at a later date. Family and friends are invited to remember her by sharing stories, laughter, and the love she so freely gave to others.
