Don Mullinix
July 11, 1933 - July 20, 2011 Mr. Don Mullinix 78 year old Bells resident passed away early Wednesday morning at Texas Presbyterian-WNJ Hospital in Sherman. Don was a retired mechanic who owned and operated his Mullinix Garage in downtown Bells for 40 years. He served his country in the Korean War. He graduated from Bells High School, and served his community as a city council member for 25 years, was Director of the First National Bank of Bells for 10 years, was on the Bells 4A Economic Committee and was a 32nd Degree Mason of the Bells Masonic Lodge He was a member of Faith Church in Sherman.
Don was born July 11, 1933 in Leonard, Texas to parents Arthur Gordon & Hettie Jewel (Bogan) Mullinix. He married Shirley Crumbly in Weatherford, Texas in 1956.
Don is survived by his wife, Shirley of Bells, son Randy Mullinix of Whitesboro, and daughter Donna Pugh & her husband Dr. Danny Pugh of Athens, Texas, three grandchildren & one great grandchild
Visitation will be from 6-8PM. Friday, July 22 at Mullican-Little Funeral Home in Bells. Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Saturday at Faith Church on Hwy. 1417 in Sherman. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery in Bells.
