Doyle Ray Crews
February 12, 1935 ~ August 10, 2021
Doyle Ray Crews passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at the age of 86. He was born on February 12, 1935 to Betsy and Hubert Crews of Bells, Texas. Doyle graduated from Bells High School where he met and married Frances Watson. Together they had one daughter, Gayle Crews Larsen. Doyle and his family resided in Bells until 1967 when they moved to Dallas, where he embarked upon a new career in the electroplating business. He later went on to open his own business, Crews Plating, where he worked until retirement. After retiring he moved to Lake Tawakoni in east Texas where he was able to do what he loved most, which was fishing and gardening. Paw-Paw Crews, as everyone knew him, was the life of every gathering. He loved everyone and everyone loved him. There was nothing he couldn’t fix. He was a man of many talents, not to mention his ability to tell a good story. Paw-Paw will be greatly missed by all his family, friends, and neighbors.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Betsy and Hubert Crews, brother Bobby Crews, nephew Robert Crews, and wife Frances Watson.
He is survived by his daughter, Gayle and son-in-law James Larsen. Grandchildren - Rusty, Kelsie, and Libby. Great Grandchildren – Conner, Tripp, Ryder, Jett and Crews, and twin baby girls on the way. Sister-in-law Linda Crews and nephew Kendall.
A graveside service will be held Monday August 16, 2021 at 10:00am at the Washburn Cemetery in Bells.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I know that he, Bobby, and Robert are having a great reunion in Heaven. Maybe swapping a few fish stories. Prayers that the Lord will cover your family like a warm blanket during this time.
Our prayers are with you
