Eva Owen

Eva Brittain Owen, age 88, of Denison Texas peacefully left her earthly home after a long and fulfilling life on Friday, December 30, 2022. Eva was born May 30, 1934 in Dallas to Furman and Elizabeth (Wheeler) Brittain.
She attended Dallas schools, graduating from North Dallas High school. She met the love of her life Jim Owen in first grade. Jim and Eva married on June 16, 1956 at the home of her parents in Dallas. They spent the first several years of their marriage in the metroplex before to relocating to their farm in Bells.
Eva truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures. She served as a housewife while working in her flower gardens, loving her many pets, chatting with friends, but most importantly being an exceptional mother to her two daughters. Eva was a member of the Church of Christ where she was a dedicated servant to the Lord her entire life. Everyone who met Eva loved her. She spent a lifetime putting everyone before herself. She had a servant’s heart and will never be forgotten.
Eva was preceded in death by her parents Furman and Elizabeth Brittain.
She is survived by husband Jim Owen, daughter Cindy Moore and husband Joe of Bells, daughter Christina Divers and husband Brian of Anna, grandchildren Grant Moore and wife Amanda of Paris, Lauren Parrish and husband Keton of Bells, Tyler Divers of Melissa, Samantha Divers of Anna, and great grandchildren Laney and Wyatt Moore of Paris.

Sorry to hear that Jimmy has lost his dear wife. Jimmy and I were privileged to live in the same great Field City community and were in the same graduating class from Carrollton High School.

I first met Jim and Eva Owen when my son married their daughter, Christina. She has been a blessing to our family. Our families enjoyed many gatherings throughout the years. We will truly miss you, Eva, at future gatherings but you will always be remembered. Rest in peace. Nelda

I am so sorry to read about Eva’s passing. I enjoyed my visits with both her and Jim. I know she lived a spiritual life. Eva was very thoughtful and understanding. She was a fine outstanding person.
