Jack Gore Jernigan

Jack Gore Jernigan of Bonham, Texas passed away peacefully at his residence December 12, 2018. Jack was born July 15, 1949 in Orlando, Florida, the son of Lawrence Jernigan and Anna Mae Gore.
Jack was an ardent Christian, who loved the word of God and God’s church. He was an active member of the United Pentecostal Church of Savoy. He was known for his kindness and gentleness. Jack was affectionately known as the “lawnmower man” frequently mowing the yards of widows, free of charge. Jack loved to fish, pickup pecans, and his favorite books were The Bible and western novels. He was a big fan of Gunsmoke and bragged to his grandson, “I taught him how to draw a gun”.
Jack is survived by his wife of 23 years Deborah Jernigan of Bonham, Texas; son, Mark Adams and wife Linley of Greenville, Texas; daughter, Suzanne Holman and husband John of Ector, Texas; grandchildren, Jazmin, Brittany, Joseph, Katelin, Bobby, Anthony and Fallyn; three great-grandchildren; and his favorite cousin, Larry Smallwood.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Larry Jernigan.
A Memorial Service will be Thursday, December 20, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the United Pentecostal Church in Savoy, Texas. A register book can be signed at www.mullicanlittle.com.




Dennis and I loved being your neighbors in Savoy, I always looked forward to seeing you both and having our driveway talks. Jack will be so missed by so many who loved him. Debbie, we will always be only a phone call away. We love you and Joseph so much.
