Joshua Eric Banner

Joshua Eric Banner, 42, of Bells, Texas passed away on February 21, 2022. A wonderful father, patriot, son and friend to many. His legacy lives on with his wife Stormy Banner and their sons Austen, Seth and Caden. Joshua was born on July 7, 1979 to Joe and Vicky Banner in Dallas, Texas. After Joshua graduated from Venus High School in 1999, he joined the United States Marine Corps and in the name of the Lord, proudly served his country. While deployed to Iraq in 2003, he was awarded the following citations:

• Combat Action Ribbon.
• Presidential Unit Citation.
• National Defense Service Medal.
• Global War on Terrorism Service Medal.
• Sea Service Deployment ribbon with one bronze star.
• Expert Rifleman’s Badge.

Joshua met Stormy in Phoenix, Arizona and raised three beautiful boys, Austen, Seth and Caden. After an honorable discharge from the Marines, Joshua joined DynCorp, a private military contracting company kickstarting a twelve-year career. In 2016 he, Stormy and the boys moved to Durango, Colorado where he owned a lucrative general contracting business. Joshua loved the mountains and often said that Colorado was where he first learned to “breathe”. In May of 2020 Joshua and his family moved to Bells, Texas and quickly established a large network of friends and family. Joshua’s passionate spirit encouraged several loves including riding his Harley motorcycle and his beloved horse Goliath. While living in Colorado he frequented the slopes and was never seen without his legendary pipe coming down the mountain on his snowboard. Fanatical about his fitness, he also enjoyed the outdoors, camping and fishing. Joshua loved music, anything Texan and country dancing with his love, Stormy. Joshua was always striving to be the best man he could be and take care of his family. It was rare that you didn't see him with a big smile on his face or filling a room with laughter. He had so much love to give, never met a stranger and anyone that crossed paths with him most certainly felt it. He was a great man and will be deeply missed. “Be kind, you never know who you will meet tomorrow” …..Nacho. Joshua is preceded in death by his father; Joe Banner, uncles; Marlen, Monty and Mark Banner; cousin, Marlen Banner, Jr. He is survived by his wife Stormy Banner, their three children, Austen, Seth and Caden; grandson Grayson Foltos, mother Vicky Banner, brothers: Joe, Michael and William Banner, sisters: Jessica and Kimberlea Banner; uncle Eric Griffen and grandmother Nancy Adams.
