Orville E. Woodson

June 4, 1923 -  July 2, 2012 Orville was a member of Kentuckytown Baptist Church and served in the U.S. Air Force during WW II. He had served as a Deacon at First Baptist Church of Whitewright for many years. Orville retired as yard Foreman at Sherman iron and Metal after 38 years of service. Orville's work was hard, cold in the winter and hot in the summer as he provided for his family. After retirement he and Peggye served the Whitewright community doing good unto others. Peggye cooked and prepared meals for anyone in need or in dire circumstances and Orville would deliver the meals or clothing or whatever anyone needed. All their deeds were done without attention or praise.
