Virginia Lee Price
August 27, 1937 ~ June 25, 2022
Virginia Lee Price passed away in Denison, Texas on June 25, 2022 at the age of 84. She was the first born child to Ples and Lena Mae (Brown) Dawson and was born in Ravia, Oklahoma on August 27, 1937. She married Tommie Price on June 19, 1967 in Durant, Oklahoma and they were for married 55 years.
Virginia was a country girl at heart and embraced the simple joys of life. She was a caretaker from an early age because she was needed to care for her father. She was a lover of all kinds of animals through the years; she had dogs, cats, rabbits, chickens, ducks, turkeys and other creatures. She enjoyed raising a garden and flowers. There was nothing better than a good cup of coffee in the morning and evening. She was also a voracious reader, zipping through books quickly, she once read three books in one day. But most of all she was a wife, mother and granny who loved her family and cherish their times together. She was involved in their lives with support, encouragement, guidance and wisdom. Virginia served her family with loving care and her legacy of kindness will live on through them.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ples and Lena Mae Dawson; son, Michael Dale Price; brother, Buster Grundy Dawson; sister, Ellen Fountain.
She is survived by her husband, Tommie M. Price; daughters, Ginger J. Price, Lori E. DeVeaux, Jennifer S. Pickens; sons, John Lee Hughart, Jessie L. Price and wife Crystal; 17 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; sister, Prue Ladel Howard; and an extended family and friends.

Mrs. Price was a loving
Women. She was always kind and like a mother to me. I have so many memories with the whole family. It was so nice to spend time with her and her family. She will be truly missed.
