Mike and I worked at the Denison Dam together, when I moved to Texas in 1993. We became friends. Mike was a hard worker and helped me quite a bit. After I retired and moved. We would talk on the phone or should I say I did most of the talking. Mike was a man of few words. R.I.P my friend I will see you again one day. Arthur
Lova, I am so sorry to hear of Mike’s passing. I always enjoyed seeing him come into the Savoy Post Office. Please take care of yourself. May GOD bless and comfort you❤️
Uncle Mike was a good man. He was a big part of my life growing up. He volunteered to coach our Lion’s Club basketball one year. Not much of a talker, but a good man. No matter when or where he came to all of our sporting events. As a little kid, he always wanted to bet me a quarter or 50 cents on NFL football games. As I got older, I realized he always gave me the favorite. Also, he paid up even if I lost. Mike was a man of integrity and a hard worker. He was head over heels in love with Lova. When he and Lova got married, we were all like “Finally”, Mike got a wonderful woman. We will miss you Uncle Mike. I will see you on the other side.
Mike and I went to work at the Corps of Engineers just about the same time about 1972 as temporary employees. Mike and I worked together many years a good friend and shared many good times together. One of the most reliable employees I ever worked with and hard working friends I had. Mike would not back away from any kind of work we worked together until I retired in 2003 rest in peace Mike my friend miss you.
