Molenia Mae Hall a long-time resident of Savoy passed away peacefully on January 21, 2024 in Texarkana, Texas at the age of 81. She was born to James L. and Laverta Nora (Allen) Richardson in Dallas, Texas on July 6, 1942, the oldest child of five siblings. She was named for her aunt “Modenia” and despite always having to spell her name, she enjoyed the distinctive name of “Molenia”.

Molenia absolutely loved her children, supporting them in all their activities. She took pride in her family and created a home of love and acceptance. She cherished her grandchildren and was known to spoil them. She also enjoyed her extended family and especially loved holiday gatherings.

Molenia was self-determined, mowing her yard because she refused to pay someone to mow. She knew the value of money and how to live on a budget. She enjoyed working with roses in her rose garden with many varieties of colors. She was a Christian and was actively involved with her church family, Georgetown Baptist Church, Pottsboro. In fact, she loved her pastor, Bobby Hancock, so much that she once ran into his pickup truck with her car. Both survived and lived to tell the tale!

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Donald Ray Hall; sister, Carolyn Sandlin; brother, Jimmy Richardson; grandson, Kenneth Whitfield; and granddaughter, Heather Whitfield.

She is survived by her daughters, Alisa Armstrong and husband Clyde of DeKalb, Texas, and Teresa Badgett and husband Bobby of Cookville, Tennessee; grandchildren, Chrissea Huff and husband Joshua, Tina Sharp and husband Kristopher, Tommy Leeray Hall, and Tyler Ray Hall, David Badgett, Krystal Badgett; 10 great grandchildren; siblings, Donnie Richardson and Kay Neal.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Mullican Little Funeral Home 754 State Hwy 56 E. Bells, Texas 75414. A visitation will be held one hour prior.
