March 23, 1979 –  June 6, 2013 April Dawn Kenney passed away on Thursday, June 6, 2013 as the results of a car accident. She was born March 23, 1979 in Denison, Texas the daughter of Lewis and Lynda Jackson Hodge. She married Jason Dolan Kenney August 25, 2004 in Hugo, Oklahoma.
April was a wonderful loving person. She loved life and everyone she met. People referred to her as a “free spirit.” Her children were the most important things in her life, but she had room in her heart for many more. She loved big family gatherings and making memories. She touched everyone she met in some way. April was known as “Tante” to us, a nickname she gave herself. She will be greatly missed.

April was a pharmacy technician and graduated from Colbert High School in Colbert, OK.

April is survived by her husband Jason Kenney of Soper, OK, twin sons Alexander and Matthew Kenney and daughter Jessica Kenney all of the home, parents Lewis and Lynda Hodge of Soper, OK, sisters Chelley Voorhees of Soper, OK, Christie Mick and husband Jerome of Soper, OK, Carol Tucker and her husband Dewayne, Nita Jones and her husband Nita and Gina Hodge, brothers Mike Doty and his wife Vickie of Paris and David Hodge, father and mother-in-law Rick and Jean Kenney, numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles and special great nephews Eathan and Caden.

April was preceded in death by her sister Cathy Gosnell and grandmother Durell Hegna.

Funeral services for April will be Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at Mullican-Little Funeral Chapel in Bells/Savoy, Texas. Reverends Larry Jackson and Lewis Hodge will officiate. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Bells, TX.

The family will receive friends from 6:00PM until 8:00PM on Monday, June 10, 2013 at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Josh Doty, Larry Linn, Tracy Jackson, Amos Mick, Trey Nabb and Kaleb Voorhees. Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Stone, David Langford and Wes Budd.
