Barbara Sue Perkins, age 79, passed away on July 29, 2021 in Denison, Texas.
Sue was born on October 4, 1941 and spent her childhood in Savoy, Texas. One of her fondest childhood memories was fishing with her daddy.
In 1955, she married Bobby Perkins of Sherman at the age of 13 and they celebrated 56 years of marriage before Bobby’s passing in 2011. They had four children – Steve Perkins, Ricky Perkins, Kimberly Perkins and Jason Perkins. As a young couple Sue and Bobby enjoyed their date nights dancing the night away with friends.
After raising her children, she cultivated a love for antiques which led to her business, Antiques, Appraisals and Sales. She organized estate sales and ran several booths in local antiques malls.
Sue is survived by sons, Steve Perkins of Savoy, Texas; Ricky Perkins and wife Sandy of Bells, Texas; Jason Perkins and wife Michelle of Sherman, Texas; daughter, Kimberly Vessels and husband Lynn of Sherman, Texas; Grandchildren, Angela Land and (Shawn); Steve Perkins, Jr. (Whitney); Krystal Pickle and (Jared); Dustin Perkins and (Britt); Dakota Perkins and (Stacy); Deaun Handlang and (Jason); Megan Mackay and (Kyle), Tyler Perkins and (Emme); Lexi Perkins and fiancé Winston Moss; 16 great grandchildren with one on the way in September 2021.
She was preceded in death by parents, Joe and Kit Lawrence; husband, Bobby Perkins; sisters, Loretta “Pood” Russell, Jane Daniel and daughter-in law, Melissa Perkins.
Pallbearers will Steve Perkins, Jr., Austin Perkins, Dustin Perkins, Dakota Perkins, Tyler Perkins, and Jason Handlang. Honorary Pallbearers will be Kyle Mackay, Shawn Land, Jared Pickle, and Winston Moss.
Graveside services will be Monday August 2, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at West Hill Cemetery, Sherman, Texas with Pastor Danny Wood of West Sherman Baptist Church officiating.

I am really sorry to she has left us. She was one of my favorite cousins. We got to be together quite a bit when we were young at our grandmother’s. Her house was just across the pasture from grannies. We have all been blessed by her presence. Sail on dear Sue.
