October 11, 1939 –  December 15, 2011 Mr. Bobby Leon Perkins, Sherman resident, passed away at his home on Thursday, December 15, 2011. Bobby was born October 11, 1939 in Sherman to parents, Vernon Leon Perkins and Linnie (Runnels) Perkins. He married Sue Lawrence in Sherman on June 4, 1955. Bobby and Sue had 56 years together and were blessed with four children, three sons and one daughter.
Bobby was a retired Texas Instruments and MEMC employee, working in supervision. He was a graduate of Sherman High School and Grayson County Junior College. He was a member of the West Sherman Baptist Church.

Surviving Mr. Perkins is his wife, Sue of Sherman; sons; Steve and wife Melissa of Savoy, Ricky and wife Sandy of Bells, Jason and wife Michelle of Sherman; daughter, Kim Vessels and husband Lynn of Sherman; five sisters, Jean Simpson of Sherman, Pam Hardin of Decatur, Paula Johnson of Arkansas, Jerri Weimer of Sherman, and Terri Moreno of Sadler; nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Bobby was dearly loved by his family and will be greatly missed, his passing will leave an empty space in each of their hearts. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Ann Raborn and Barbara Copley.

Graveside services for Bobby will be at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at West Hill Cemetery on Lamar Street in Sherman under the direction of Mullican-Little Funeral Home of Bells. Reverend Danny Woods will officiate. The family will greet friends at the funeral home from 6-8 P.M., Monday, December 19.
