Cynthia Elaine “Cindy” (Shook) Holland was born September 5, 1950, in Sulphur Springs, Texas.
Cindy was a dedicated wife, devoted mother, beloved grandmother, and cherished sister. Our hearts are heavy as we say goodbye to a remarkable woman who touched the lives of many. Cindy passed away peacefully surrounded by family on October 12, 2023, at the age of 73, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter and cherished memories. She will forever be remembered.
Cindy had a captivating spirit that brightened every room she entered. Her sharp wit and sassy personality brought laughter to all those around her. She had a way of finding humor in everyday situations, leaving smiles on the faces of everyone fortunate enough to know her. Animals held a special place in her heart, and her love for them knew no bounds, especially horses. As a young woman, her passion was barrel racing. She found peace in the company of horses and developed deep bonds with them. One of Cindys’ greatest joys was her annual trip with her husband and family to their cabin at Rainbow Lake in Colorado. Camping in their travel trailer with friends only added to the adventures she cherished so deeply. Crafting and shopping were two things that Cindy thoroughly enjoyed. Trips to the craft stores and shopping excursions always brought a sparkle to her eyes as she found happiness in finding the perfect supplies or treasures. With her creative spirit she could transform the simplest materials into beautiful decorations for their home. Faith was a guiding force in her life, her love for the Lord was evident in her loving actions towards others. She was kind, compassionate, and generous to those in need. Cindy was a member of Trinity Lighthouse Church in Denison, Texas. Though our hearts are broken with the loss of this extraordinary woman, we find comfort in knowing Cindy has found eternal peace with our Lord Jesus Christ. May her spirit soar in the loving arms of the Lord until we meet again.
A celebration of her life will be held at Mullican Little Funeral Home in Bells, Texas on Thursday, October 19, 2023 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM where family and friends can gather to honor her memory and share stories of the incredible woman she was. As we say goodbye to a beloved wife, mom, nana, sissy and loyal friend, we remember her laughter, sassy personality and the love that she shared with us all.
Cindy leaves behind a grieving family who will forever hold her close in their hearts. Her love and support will be deeply missed.

You will forever be missed.
Oh I will miss our weekly talks and our meet-ups. I’ll miss your wonderful way of always making me feel better when I was down. I hope I helped you as much. Over our 63 years of being more like sisters we have laughed until we were in pain, cryed together, and done the craziest things. All-in-all…we were best friends..sisters from another mother even tho Mama Sue practically raised me.
I will be lost without you love, but as I promised you..I will always be there for Mandy and your family. Til we see each other again know I’ll miss you desperately and love you to heaven and back.
Cindy will be missed. I’ve known her many years, even before coming to Bells. Great woman, mom, grandma. I am sorry for the families loss. Prayers for you all.
