June 15, 1922 –  March 4, 2017 Dale Eugene Mull, 94, finished his earthly course on March 4, 2017. He was born on June 15, 1922 in Leipsic (Putnam County), Ohio, to Walter J. Mull and Nellie Lavina Abbott.
Dale married the love of his life, Helen Mae Keating, on August 22, 1947 in Detroit, Michigan. Together they pursued a life-time goal of missionary service. Dale and his wife attended the 21st class of the Watchtower Bible School of Gilead in Upstate New York in 1953. This opened the way for a greater share in the preaching and teaching work, sending them into many locations, both within the United States and later to assignments in Botswana and South Africa.

Returning back to the States in August of 2001, they settled into life in Bonham, Texas. Sadly, Helen died February 15, 2007, after 59 ½ years of marriage. Dale was well known for his love of Bible reading, covering the entire Scriptures more than once every year for decades. Many also remember him from his exciting African experiences of missionary life in the bush. But most of all, many remember him as Dale, the endearing person he was.

Preceded in death are his wife, Helen Mae Mull, and two brothers, Elbert and Richard Mull. Surviving is a niece, Judy Pierman of North Palm Beach, Florida.

Those close to Dale would like to express appreciation to the nurses and staff at Mullican Care Center, Savoy, Texas. Over the last few years, the compassionate care Dale received while in the Alzheimer’s unit was more than remarkable. Thank you all for treating him with the dignity, respect and occasionally, humor so needed to cope with his illness.
