September 4, 1940 –  January 3, 2011 Don was the oldest of seven children and attended Ambrose school and Bells High School. He married the love of his life, Jean Brantley, on June 29, 1963. They lived many places throughout their marriage but spent many years in Wichita Falls where Don worked for White’s Home and Auto. Don and Jean opened their own business, Whitlock’s Pawn, in Bonham, Texas in 1989. He had the time of his life making deals and making so many friends through the business. Don and Jean sold the business and retired in 2005. He spent the past 5 years traveling around the country, visisting the casinos, having coffee with his friends, tending his cows and vegetable garden on the ranch, fishing and watching sunsets on the lake.
