Dorothy May Stringfellow passed away peacefully on April 26, 2022 at the age of 89. She was born to Willie and Beatrice (Headrick) Sharp on May 27, 1932. She was next to the youngest of six children.
She had a tender heart and always wanted to take care of animals, particularly strays and hurt animals. One time, she even mended the broken leg of a mouse!
Dorothy loved her family, especially her son Donald. She treasured being together with her brothers, sisters and the whole clan. They were all very close. Dorothy was proud to be “country” and spent many enjoyable hours listening to George Jones on the radio. She liked her things and her house neat and organized, she kept a clean house.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Beatrice Sharp; brother, Johnny Sharp and wife Helen; sisters, Fae Jeter and husband Rob, Kathleen Price and husband Kenneth, Nellie Darling, and Mary Lee Bellows and husband William Eugene.
She is survived by her son, Donald G. Stringfellow and wife Summer; brother-in-law, Archie Darling; and a lot of extended family, cousins, nephew and nieces.
A visitation will be held on May 3, 2022 at 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Mullican Little Funeral Home 754 State Hwy 56 E. Bells, Texas 75414. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Sunnyside Cemetery in Savoy, Texas.
