September 29, 1938 –  May 21, 2013 Graveside services for Edna Faye Benner, 74, formerly of Savoy, are set for 9:30 A.M., Thursday, May 23 at Sunnyside Cemetery in Savoy. Mr. Bryan Spurgen will officiate the service.
Mrs. Benner passed away at Medical Center of McKinney on Tuesday, May 21, 2013. She was born September 29, 1938 in Savoy to parents, Charlie Smith & Jennie Lawrence Smith. She married Charles Benner on October 29, 1988 in McKinney. Edna was a member of the Assembly of God church, graduated from Savoy High School, and worked 17 years for SAMS as a Demostration Representative.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Benner of McKinney; son, J.R. Stevens of McKinney; three daughters, Rhonda Gray of McKinney, Juanita Wright, of New Hope, and Anita Jackson of Wylie; she is also survived by several grandchildren.

Edna was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Charles Ray Smith; 3 sisters: Hazel Minnick, Ruth Moore, and Mary Lou Harvey.
