November 13, 1932 –  June 11, 2015 George C. Jones, 82 year old Ambrose resident, passed away in Plano on Thursday, June 11, 2015. Being a professional truck driver, George looked forward to returning home to his family & friends in Ambrose where he lived for more than 20 years.
George was born in Bonham, Texas on November 13, 1932 to parents, Spencer and Jessie May (Boatwright) Jones. He married Debra Doyle in Durant on February 22, 1983. George was a member of the Baptist church.

George is survived by his wife, Debra of Ambrose; sons, Jason Jones of Durant and Jessie Bowen of Naples, Texas; daughters Kristy Masters of Denison and Georgia Ainsworth of Sherman; sisters, Barbara Henderson of Sherman and Viola Arnoldus of Menahga, MN; nine Grandchildren and three Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings; Thelma Adair, Lillian Hunter and Ray Jones.

Funeral services for George are set for 3:00 P.M., Sunday, June 14, 2015 at Mullican-Little Funeral Chapel in Bells with burial at Rosehill Cemetery. Dr. Reverend Lowell Howard will officiate the service. The family will greet friends from 7-8 P.M., Saturday, June 13 at the funeral home.
