April 15, 1919 –  April 16, 2009 On April 16 our Jerry departed this earth to be with the two she loved the most-Jesus and Jimmy.Born April 15, 1919, the only child of Bertha and Dennis P. Grundy in Hebron, Texas.
She attended Savoy schools and married Jimmy J. Chance soon after graduation on February 26, 1938 in Bonham, Texas.
Jerry and Jimmy were never blessed with children, however, she had a nephew James, a niece Jana and a poodle Jockey Boy – these were her children.
Jerry celebrated her 90th birthday with her family on April 15, and she died peacefully the next day. Jerry was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years Jimmy Chance, and her parents.
She is survived by her nephew James Snow and wife Carolyn Jo of Whitesboro; niece Jana Peterman and husband Jeff of Sherman; brother-in-law, Robert H. Snow and wife Katie of Savoy; two great nieces and one great-great niece.
We cry now, but we are proud to have loved a woman so rare.
