Janet Marie Durr Warford was born March 12, 1945 to Dick and Lucille Durr in Natchitoches, Louisiana. She died in McKinney, Texas on December 7, 2024. Janet married Kirby Warford on July 29, 1967 at First Baptist Church, Hagewood, Louisiana. They were married nearly 51 years until Kirby’s death on April 7, 2018. Her unwavering love and devotion to Kirby created a secure and nurturing home.

She was a loving wife, mother, and “Memme”. Janet was also a licensed beautician and had her own “In house” salon for years. She was an avid fan of The New Orleans Saints, even known to sneak out of church early to catch the Saints game!

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kirby Clayton Warford; parents, U.V. “Dick” Durr and Lucille Prothro Durr; brother, James Durr; sister, Barbara Durr Johnson.

She is survived by her son, Todd and Susan Warford and their children, Hunter, Lauren, and Catherine; son, Kurt and Amber Warford and their children, Savannah and Clayton; sisters, Elaine Durr Sexton and Diana Durr Rolin; along with several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be at Old Sarepta Cemetery 153 Sarepta Road Sarepta, Louisiana on Thursday, December 12, 2024 at 2:00 PM. Pallbearers will be Todd Warford, Kurt Warford, Hunter Warford, Clayton Warford, Branton Warford, and James Warford.
