John Elmer Fitzgerald, of Savoy, Texas passed away November 18, 2018. He was born on January 24, 1962 to Maudie Elledge.
John trained in Aeronautics, but fell in love with the family roofing business, and was a very hard worker. John was a great father, and was always there for his family. He was loyal to his friends, and never met a stranger. John was very helpful to others. He was named volunteer of the year for Bonham Chamber of Commerce and also volunteered for the food pantry. John was a member of The Way Christian Fellowship in Savoy, Texas.
John is survived by his wife, Deborah Ann Everson of Savoy, Texas; daughter, Angela Gonzalez of Savoy; son, Jerry Epperson of Leonard, Texas; granddaughters, Brittany Gonzalez of Trenton, Texas and Jazmine Price and husband Michael of Bells, Texas; grandsons, Jose Gonzalez of Amarillo, Texas, and Jesse Gonzalez and wife Brittnei of Denison, Texas, Tony Gonzalez and wife Saige of Randolph, Texas and Hayden Epperson of Leonard, Texas; sister, Melissa Shelton and husband Daniel of Mesquite, Texas; nine great grandchildren; favorite niece, Belle Shelton; three aunts; one uncle; and a host of extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Maudie and William Dyson; and grandparents, Ray Elmer and Penny Elledge.
Memorial services will be held at The Way Christian Fellowship in Savoy, Texas at a later date. A register book can be signed at www.mullicanlittle.com.
