January 1, 1931 –  June 9, 2015 Lois Everheart, age 84, passed away Tuesday, June 09, 2015, at Texoma Medical Center. She was born January 1, 1931 in Bells, Texas to D. T. and Leta Morgan McElligott.
Lois is survived by her son Jim Everheart and his wife Michelle of Ravenna, sister Anna Tarpley of Canton, grandchildren Joe Wes Everheart and Melissa Davis of Bells and James David Everheart of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, great grandchildren Morgan and McKenna Everheart and David Everheart, several nieces & nephews, also special friend Jerri Lynne Bateman. Lois was preceded in death by her parents, son Robert Keith Everheart, and brothers Dan and Jimmy McElligott.

Lois retired as Postmaster of the Bells Post Office after 31 years of service. Lois stayed busy after retirement. She worked with Adult Literacy, was the President of the site Site Committee for the Bells Snap Center for over 10 years, served as a volunteer at TMC for 15 years, was very active in politics and always was willing to help her favorite candidates. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Bells and a graduate of Sherman High School.

Funeral services for Lois will be 10:00AM Saturday, June 13, 2015 at Mullican-Little Funeral Chapel in Bells/Savoy, Texas. Mr. Jerry Reynolds, Reverend David Cahill and Reverend Steve Martinez will officiate. Lois will be laid to rest in Rose Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00PM until 8:00PM Friday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Pete Waldrip, Brad Smith, Bradlee Little, David Whitlock, Gary Whitlock & tommy Waldrip. Honorary pallbearers will be Red Bateman and Buddy Whiting.
