December 10, 1921 –  June 16, 2009 Louis was the son of Thomas & Reba Shearer and was born, educated and lived in Bells, Texas. He married Helen Cunningham on August 17, 1946 in Bells. Louis was a retired Machinist with Washington Iron works of Sherman where he worked from 1946-1986. He was a member and 32 degree Mason of Bells Masonic Lodge 798, Scottish Rite & York Rite. He raised cattle in his retirement years. Louis served his country in the U.S. Navy as a Pharmacist Mate.Louis is survived by his wife Helen, daughter, Nancy Shrode & husband Steve; brother, Fred Shearer & wife Anna Lee; 3 grandchildren: Nick Shrode & wife Shawna, Nathan Shrode & Sam Shrode; 2 great grandchildren; Karli & Karah Shrode.
Louis was preceded by his parents; daughter, Lou Ayne Shearer; brothers: Wade, Glenn, Roy, Cecil & Ray Shearer; and sister, Grace Meyer.
