November 19, 1947 –  February 4, 2017 Marilyn Elizabeth Monk, age 69, of Bells, Texas passed away on Saturday February 4, 2017 at Texoma Medical Center. She was born December 19, 1947 to Pearlie and Calvin Simpson. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend who enjoyed spending time with her family and dog Ellie.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Calvin and George Simpson and sister Velma Dawson. She is survived by her sons Bobby Monk and wife Billie of Ector, Rodney Monk and wife Johnnie Kay of Bells and Phillip Monk and fiancé Desiree Benoit of Richardson, granddaughters Hilary Edwards and husband Tyler, Hannah Monk and fiancé Hamilton Luper, Haylie Monk, Victoria Monk, and Sara Monk, and great grandson to be Slate Edwards.

Per Marilyn’s request no services will be held and the family will honor her life. The family would like to thank the staff of Texoma Medical Center for the wonderful help and care given and Mullican-Little Funeral Home for help in carrying out her final wishes.
