Mike Lynn Brown passed away on January 19, 2019, in Denison, Texas. Mike was born September 17, 1958, in Denison, Texas to Leonard Brown and Reba (Richerson) Brown. He graduated from Denison High School in 1977. He married Linda Mendez September 19, 1991 in Savoy, Texas. Mike was a family man, he loved his wife, children and grandchildren dearly. He was a good dad and “pops”. Mike would help anyone, he could repair almost anything and he had an excellent work ethic. He loved playing the trumpet, especially in the worship band at his church. Mike was a godly man, who was a great person to look up to. He loved his dog Ziggy. Mike loved the outdoors, where he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He served as a board member for his church and was an integral part of constructing the current United Pentecostal Church of Savoy, Texas building.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Brown of Denison, Texas; daughter, Casey Millett of Savoy, Texas; daughter, Leslie Brown of Knoxville, Tennessee; son, Michael Nicholson and wife Monica of Bells, Texas; daughter, Cindy Stansberry and husband Chris of Knoxville, Tennessee; granddaughters, KyliAnn Millett, Abbigail Nicholson and Ava Brown; grandsons, Gavin Millett, Isaac Avila, Luke Nicholson, and Jacob Nicholson; mother, Reba Brown of Denison, Texas; brother, Jerry Brown and wife Dena of Gladewater, Texas; brother, Mark Brown and wife Sandy of Denison, Texas; sister-in-law, Bonnie Brown of Savoy, Texas; aunt, Esther Sims of Dallas, Texas; several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Leonard Brown and his brother, Glenn Brown.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation at the United Pentecostal Church in Savoy, Texas on Wednesday, January 23, 2019, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the United Pentecostal Church in Savoy, Texas on Thursday, January 24, 2019 beginning at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Bells, Texas. Mike was a great man, enjoyed knowing and working with him for years. A special person will be missed by many.
Mike Brown meant so very much to his Pentecostal brothers and sisters. He lived the Christian life with a full dedication, loving, helping and supporting his neighbors. Sincere condolences to the Brown family.

Mike was a really nice man. I worked with him at Denison Industries and there was never a bad word come out of his mouth. He was a good friend that wanted to help others and loved the Lord. I know I will see him again one day. I pray his wife and family feel Gods love.
I will definitely miss my cousin. We have spent many, many hours together working and so on.He was a good man.
