September 24, 1922 – December 22, 2010 Services for Ruby Cross, 88 year old Savoy resident, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Mullican-Little Funeral Chapel. Ruby passed away Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2010 at G.P. Nursing & Rehab Center in Grand Prairie, Texas. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Bells.
Mrs. Cross was born September 24, 1922 in Ector, Texas, daughter of Herman Jinks and Emma Dees Jinks. She married Ervin Franklin Cross on January 23, 1947 in Sherman. Ruby was a member of the the First Baptist Church of Savoy and was retired from the First National Bank of Bells as a Cashier.
Surviving are her sons, Eugene Cross of Irving and Donald Cross and wife Kay of Grand Prairie; daughter, Tommy Dee Singleton and husband Tim of Van Alstyne; sisters Tommie Hodges and husband Bob of Savoy, and Frances Baldwin of Yoakum, Texas; eight grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 11 great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Larry Cross, Kenneth House, Lane House, Michael Cross, Vincent Young and Tyler Goar.
Family visitation will be at Mullican-Little Funeral Home at Bells/Savoy, from 2-3 p.m. Sunday afternoon.
