Sandra June Peters passed away peacefully on December 4, 2023 in Denison, Texas at the age of 74. She was born to George Perry and Norine (Williams) McClellan on January 23, 1949 in Decatur, Illinois. Sandy met her future husband, Henry Peters on a arranged double date and they were married on April 26, 1965.

Life was not always good nor easy, but Sandy was a lady of strength and resiliency. She rose to any occasion determined to make the best of it. Sandy willingly sacrificed to provide a home of love and stability for her family. She also served as a “bonus mom” to many other kids in the neighborhood.

She knew how to manage a family budget and could stretch a dollar, her family never wanted for anything because she was frugal and not wasteful. She loved a good deal and could not pass up a resale shop.  This lady was said to be stubborn but really she was independent, smart, and caring. Sandy was content, deeply satisfied with her family and her place in life.

Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, George and Norine; son, Steve L. Peters; brother, George McClellan, Jr; sisters, Carol Sue Kirby and Karen McClellan; grandson, Mason Peters; and great grandson, Jasper Finley.

She is survived by her husband, Henry Peters; daughters, Lena Peters and husband Floyd Hall, Wendy L. Morgan; sons, Jeff Peters and significant other Billie Little, Perry Peters and wife Jessica; a special niece, Kris Carter; and 17 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren; along with extended family.

Cremation arrangements are with Mullican Little Funeral Home.
