July 28, 1925 –  July 22, 2014 Leona Teel was born on July 28, 1925 and passed from this world on July 22, 2014 surrounded by her family at her home. Leona was the daughter of George Binion and Roxie (McCormick) Binion and was born in Ector, Texas.
She is survived by five children: Roxie Cook of Bonham; Tommy Teel of Savoy; Robert Teel and wife Paula of Arlington; Billy Teel and wife Betty of Savoy; Doug Teel and wife Tina of Denison; one brother, Guy Binion of Bonham; 19 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren.

Mrs. Teel was a life long resident of Fannin County and a retired nurse of more than 30 years. She loved her family as well as serving others. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Savoy.

Leona married J. R. Teel in 1946 in Ector, Texas and was preceded in death by him after 48 years of marriage. She was also preceded by her parents; one granddaughter; two brothers and one sister.

The funeral service is set for 1:00P.M., Friday, July 25, 2014 at the First Baptist Church of Savoy with Reverend James Seigler and Reverend Bill Sessom officiating. Visitation with the family will be 6:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M., Thursday, July 24, 2014 at First Baptist Church of Savoy.
