August 7, 1939 –  September 24, 2013 Sharon Rose Hudson, 74 year old longtime resident of Bells, passed away at her home on Tuesday, September 24, 2013. Sharon was born on August 7, 1939 in Taylor, Texas to Fred Love and Cora Mae Hines. She grew up in Lueders and Wichita Falls, Texas, graduating from Wichita Falls High in 1958. She began a career in nursing, which lasted over 50 years, by attending Midwestern State University School of Nursing in Wichita Falls. She graduated with her Registered Nurse License and started her nursing career of over 30 years in Pediatric Nursing working for only two doctors, beginning with Dr. Harley Sullivan in Wichita Falls and after relocating to Sherman with her family in 1966, she worked for Dr. Edward Tisdell until his retirement. She continued her career at Texoma Medical Center in Denison until she retired. She did not stay retired long until she began working with Mullican Care Center of Savoy, where she was employed as a weekend nursing supervisor at the time of her death.
Sharon was a caregiver her entire life, not only to her family but to those she met during her career. She had a special knack for painting and hobby work. She painted and crafted many beautiful things over the years with her painting and craft groups. She will be sorely missed by those who loved and knew her.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, J.L. Hines of Merkel, Texas, and a sister Pricie McBay of Stamford, Texas.

Sharon is survived by two sons, Mark Hudson and wife Kristie of Bells and Kevin Hudson and wife Robin of Ravenna; grandchildren, Kristopher Hudson and Jordon Hudson of Bells, Mystie Tom of Bells, Amber Tom of Sherman, Brandon Tom of Ravenna and Autumn Doss of Ravenna.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Mullican-Little Funeral Home Chapel in Bells at 10 A.M., Saturday, September 28, 2013. Those who wish to honor her may contribute to the First Baptist Church of Bells Building Fund, 105 S. Pecan St., Bells, Texas 75414.
