January 21, 1936 –  January 20, 2016 Beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather Tom Robinson went to be with the Lord on January 20th, one day short of his 80th birthday.
Thomas Edward Robinson, Jr. was born January 21, 1936 to Thomas Edward Robinson, Sr. and Nancy Leona Yeager Robinson. He attended schools in Phoenix, AZ and Cobb, OK, graduating from Cobb High School in Cobb, OK. He proposed to Glenda Joyce Scott on Valentine’s Day, 1956 and they were married on May 19th, creating a union that would last nearly 60 years that, true to his vows, only death could part. They had three children, Cheryl Ann Foreman, Charlene Dianne Stewart, and Steven Lynn Robinson.

Tom began his career as a surveyor with the Oklahoma Highway Department. He then moved to Glendale, AZ where he worked as a journeyman electrician for 12 years. He returned to north Texas and continued his elictrician career for 30 years until retirement. He spent 42 years on his farm near Savoy raising cattle and pecans. Farming was his passion. He was also a talented craftsman, making many fine pieces of furniture in his wood working shop.

He was a long time member of Mirick Av. Church of Christ in Denison and had great friends from churches in Oklahoma, Texas, and Murpheesboro, Tennessee.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Evelyn Kent, Orville Robinson, and Robert H. Robinson. He is survived by his wife Glenda, daughter Cheryl and husband Rick Foreman, daughter Charlene Stewart, and son Steven Robinson and fiance Jalah Abbott. He had 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and a large extended family.

Tom will now spend his time in heaven doing what he loved most here on earth — watching over all of his loved ones.

Funeral services will be at Mullican-Little Funeral Home in Bells, Sunday January 24, 2016 at 2pm with family visitation from 1:30 P.M. – 2:00 P.M. prior to the funeral service.

Pallbearers will be beloved grandsons Everette and Robert Robinson, Brandon and Scott Todd, friends Jim Mitchell, Rocky Miller, and honorary pallbearer Bill Musgraves.
