July 16, 1944 –  April 21, 2016 Alice June Towles was born July 16, 1944 in Sherman, Texas to parents, Willie Pointer and Jackie (Howdeshell) Pointer. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Towles; sister, Paula Pointer Bradley; step-daughter, Patsy Towles Dye; grandparents, Mattie and Lonnie Pointer and Anna Hatfield Howdeshell. Also by aunts Janie Pointer Cowart, Josie Pointer Tarpley, Anna Howdeshell Guffee, Leona “Nony” Howdeshell Munion; uncles, Ray Howdeshell, Hatfield Howdeshell and Dale Munion.
June is survived by her son, Joe Pell and wife Cristina; step son, Barry Towles and wife Lisa; brother, Mike Pointer and wife Linda; sister, Patty Mitchell and husband Steve. She is also survived by grandchildren, J.T., Lane and Levi Pell; Scott and John Ryan Towles; Daniel and wife Valorrie Pickels; Leslie Pickels Leemauk and husband Alex; great-grandchildren, Aidan, Austin, and Ellie Leemauk; aunts, Nina Howdeshell Wood and Mary Bell Pointer Hopper; uncle, Robert and wife Dee Pointer and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Graveside service honoring June is set for 11 A.M., Monday, April 25, 2016 at Cedarlawn Memorial Park, Sherman, Texas. June will lie in-state at Mullican-Little Funeral Home in Bells on Sunday, April 24 from 1-5 P.M.
