June 13, 1911 –  June 10, 2008 Frances Meyer (96) of Denison, Texas passed away June 10, 2008 at a Denison hospital. Frances was born June 13, 1911 in Jennings, LA., the youngest child of Albert and Alice Cook Landen. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, her first husband Waldo E. Turner, and her second husband of 52 years John W. Meyer. She is survived by two sons, Ray Turner of Denison, Roy Turner of Little Rock, AR., three grandsons and five great grandchildren. Frances was a manager for Western Union in Springdale for more than 25 years. She and her second husband were married in 1954 and moved to Warrenton, VA where he was an electronics engineer for the CIA and she continued as a manager for Western Union. They both retired in 1970 and moved to Grove, OK where they remained until her husbands’ death in 2006. Frances was a memeber of the Methodist Church of Grove, the Mayflower society and the Daughters of the American Revolution. There will be a graveside service at the Bluff Cemetery in Springdale, AR on Friday, June 13 at 2:00 pm.
