George Tribble passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loved ones Monday, June 22, 2020. George was born on January 23, 1954 to Georgia “Jody” Earline Stipe and L.G. Tribble in Sherman, Texas.

George met Cathie at Texas Instruments through a mutual friend. They celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on March 23, 2020. They were blessed with two children and five grandchildren.

George was a man of the soil. He loved the outdoors, animals and farming. He was affectionately called “Snow White” because of the uncanny ability to attract and care for animals. In his younger days, he was a rodeo cowboy competing as a bareback bronc rider. George was a hard worker who had a variety of jobs. He was a hat shaper, horse trainer, a nuclear reactor specialist and farmer. He was a skilled conversationalist with a vast knowledge of history gained through his passion for reading. George enjoyed working wood, making puzzles, chairs, boxes and clocks. Above all he loved being with his family.

George is survived by his wife, Cathie Tribble of Luella, Texas; son, Michael Tribble of Sherman, Texas; daughter, Brandi Davis and husband Steve of Howe, Texas; granddaughter Isis Lewis of Luella, Texas; grandson, Tre’ Barger III of Howe, Texas; granddaughters, Mercy Davis of Howe, Texas; Caitlin Pendleton and Mersades Pendleton of Colbert, Oklahoma.

He was preceded in death by his parents, L.G. and Jody Tribble; daughter Stephanie Janway.

A remembrance gathering will be held Friday, June 26, 2020 6-8 PM at the Mullican Little Chapel at 754 State Hwy 56 E Bells, Texas. Due to Covid-19 social distancing will be observed at the services.
