Johnnie “Mark” Price, age 67, of Savoy, Texas, was called home to the Lord on Wednesday, August 8, 2018. He was born on September 16, 1950, in Savoy, Texas to Kenneth Bart Price and Sabra Kathleen (Sharp) Price. Mark married the love of his life, Ginger Godbey in Phoenix, Arizona, on December 25, 1969.
Mark was a self-employed entrepreneur and he restored vintage cars. He was the manager of Nest Fresh Eggs in Savoy. He also worked for Katy Railroad for ten years and worked at Ray Yard in Denison inspecting and repairing Rail cars. Mark loved his family, and was happy and satisfied to be at home. He loved and adored his wife of 48 years, Ginger. Mark was family oriented, and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He was content to be in Savoy. Mark was highly opinionated, held strong views, and had an intelligent mind. He loved to fish and found immense joy in his dogs Rebel and Gomer. Mark was a regular guest at Choctaw Casino helping to “finance” for the new addition.
Mark is survived by his loving wife Ginger Price of Savoy; his daughter, Tammy Wheless and husband Bryan of Bonham, Texas; grandson, Mark Allen Wheless and fiancé Ashley Cook of Bonham; granddaughter Kali Horsley and husband Logan of Honey Grove, Texas; great granddaughters Arilyn Noelle Hopkins and Emma Kaite Horsley, both of Honey Grove; brothers, Kenneth W. Price of Selfs, Tommie M. Price and wife Virginia of Savoy, David L. Price of Savoy, Billy D. Price and wife Kiena of Nashville, Tennessee, and Jim Price and wife Glenda of Cartwright, Oklahoma; and a host of extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Kathleen and his sister Margie Ball.
