February 11, 1918 –  March 27, 2011 Lois was a professional seamstress and worked for the public for fifty plus years. She continued to sew for her family and friends until the day she was called home.Restyling old wedding dressed, making costumes, doing anything that her children or grandchildren wanted or needed. There was nothing that “Grannie” could not fix and her answer, when asked if she could do something was – “no problem”- and it was done. The most important date of the year was the “Grannie Smith Reunion” when the entire family took a retreat for three days. The place of choice was one of the great Texas State Parks where there was more food, mor laughs, more tears and more fun than any other place or time of the year.
