October 13, 1938 –  April 22, 2017 Margie Dell Wiggins Jackson, 78, passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2017. Margie was born on October 19, 1938 in Lubbock, Texas. As a child, Margie loved to dance and perform. She was part of a dance studio for most of her formative years. Margie married W.P. (Jack) Jackson, or Junior as he was known to her at the time, on March 12, 1954. She soon became an army wife for a couple of years. Besides being a wife and mother, Margie regularly helped her father with the window displays at Hemphill-Wells in Lubbock. After moving to Sherman, Texas, Margie worked at a few different locations, finding her greatest satisfaction working as a secretary/accountant for a gasoline distributor. Margie and Jack fulfilled their lifelong dream in 1983 when they moved to a small farm near Bells, Texas. After retirement, Margie continued to work tirelessly as a volunteer for her church as well as the Walk to Emmaus retreats and Kairos of Texas.
Survivors include her son Danny Jackson and wife Brenda of Cross, S.C.; daughters Sandy Angeley of Cedar Creek, Texas, and Dianne Williamson and husband Paul of Denton, Texas; grandchildren, Bo and Connie Angeley, Kristin, Alyssa, and Stephanie Williamson; her half-sister Noelle Wiggins; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack, her parents, Nina Frances and Noel Bascomb Wiggins, and her sister Frances Ann Wiggins.
Margie leaves behind a legacy of serving and loving her family, her friends, and those in her community. She loved working with the acolytes of her church and helping with VBS. Margie (Mom) (Gram) (Aunt Margie) will be missed. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Bells, Texas.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Saturday at the Bells United Methodist Church. Reverends Wally Butts and Brian McPhearson will officiate. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery
Pallbearers will be Todd Simpson, Joe Soward, Matthew Alderson Christopher Alderson, Jeremy Taylor, Timothy Teasdale and Victor Thompson.
Margie’s family will accept friends from 6:00PM until 8:00PM Friday at Mullican-Little Funeral Home in Bells/Savoy, Texas.
