May 29, 1911 –  July 12, 2013 A Graveside Service is set for Virginia Eudora Montgomery at 11 A.M., Monday, July 15, 2013 at Willow Wild Cemetery in Bonham. Mrs. Montgomery passed away Friday, July 12, 2013, at Mullican Care Center of Savoy. The Reverend Claude Robbins will officiate the service.
Virginia was born May 29, 1911 in Panola County, Mississippi, living to be 102 years old and witnessing many changes within her lifetime. She moved to Texas with her family when she was a young girl. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rufus Patrick McCullough and Lucinda (Brewer) McCullough. She married Harvey Franklin Montgomery on November 24, 1962 and will be laid to rest beside him at Willow Wild Cemetery.

Virginia was the first female Board Member of the Rual Electric Association of Texas. She had a great interest in raising Brangus cattle, and Africian Violets. She retired from E-Systems in Greenville where she was Secretary to the company Vice President. She was a faithful member of the Corinth Baptist Church of Ivanhoe.

Virginia is survived by her daughter, Jeanette R. Weatherby of Detroit, Texas; grandson, Andy Weatherby & wife Vickie of Ivanhoe; two great grandchildren, David Wayne Weatherby and Ashley Weatherby; and one great great grandchild, Ethan Bassett.

No formal visitation is scheduled.
